Obama’s Contempt For the Constitution And Individual Rights

Last week, Rush Limbaugh reminded me of President Obama’s contempt for the United States Constitution based on its protecting the individual citizen from the intrusions of the state, which contradicts Obama’s need to use the power of government to engage in “redistributive justice,” or “economic justice,” which is really “injustice” in the true definitions of these words.
Obama and leftists view “rights” as the very opposite of what that word means. The Declaration of Independence states that each one of us has “natural” rights, which means that we inherently have those rights as human beings, and among those rights are the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Each individual human being has a right to one’s own life, the right of self-ownership, and the right to liberty, the right to be free from the aggression against one’s life by others, and the right to one’s own property, which also includes the products of one’s intellectual and physical labor.
However, Obama and the leftists believe that not only does one not have a right to one’s own life and liberty, but that people have a right to someone else’s property and wealth, and the right to take it from them by force, especially by using government as a means of aggression against the individual to take what is “needed” to be taken. This is Obama’s view of “redistributive economic justice,” which also includes the right of people to take from the individual the products of one’s labor (i.e. theft and “involuntary servitude” are acceptable means of economic justice). Of course, Obama and the leftists use all the rhetoric and rationalizations they can think of, but their ideology is still the use of aggression, theft and enslavement to administer what they see as “justice.”
They use “law” and the armed force of government to impose this aggression against the individual. That is why President Obama doesn’t like the Constitution. The American Founders created the Constitution and the Bill of Rights specifically to protect the individual, one’s individual rights, and one’s private property from the aggression of others, especially from the state and its enforcers, the police.
The Fourth Amendment to the Bill of Rights states:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
It clearly states that we have a “right to be secure in our persons, houses, papers, and effects.” So how is it not a violation of one’s such rights when the state forces itself into your private life and your employment and economic activities, and forces you to forfeit some of your private wealth, in addition to the fact that those parts of people’s private lives are none of the government’s damn business? This shows the immorality of taxation, particularly “income taxation,” which is “involuntary servitude” no matter how it is rationalized, and other government-imposed thefts of property and liberty. People say, “Doh! But the Supreme Court upheld the income tax and so on and so forth!” But I don’t care what the Supreme Court said. They have been wrong many times. I care what the Constitution says.
And history has shown us the impracticality as well as immorality of Obama’s Marxist view of “redistributive economic justice,” which violates individual rights. Taxation and wealth redistribution and government activism have done nothing but cause distortions in America’s economic activities, and greatly halted progress, growth and prosperity. When government raises taxes or imposes new taxes, employers find they can’t afford the new or higher taxes, so they cut jobs. Cutting taxes gives employers incentive to invest in and expand their businesses, and create new jobs. Unfortunately, these historical facts seem to get ignored by the leftists, who really do live in some way out fantasy land.
And there’s this view that because some people accumulate huge amounts of wealth, therefore they have less of a right to it, and other members of the population have more of a right to it. When you do this, you are saying that people lose some of their Constitutionally protected right to life, liberty and property when their wealth accumulation reaches a particular line. And to whom does the Constitution give the power to decide what that line is? No one! All this crap comes from the same mentality that thought up that unconstitutional income tax. It all comes from that. Let the state have the power to impose involuntary servitude on the citizens and bring their status down from free people to serfs for the state. That’s what that is, and President Obama is the King Robin Hood who will rob the rich and give to the…lobbyists, lawyers, campaign supporters, Big Pharma, Big Military Industrial Complex, Big this, that and the other thing!
Sarcasm aside, when you have a society with this system of “what’s mine is only some of mine, and what’s yours is more of mine when you reach a particular level of wealth and I can take it from you,” you no longer have a system of “equality,” “equal treatment under the law,” etc. This “redistributive economic justice” actually abandons justice, in the real sense of that word, and gives some people the power to steal from others, where some theft is okay.
And this actual injustice and inequality pertains to not just wealth and property, but other areas of life, such as these government takeovers of industries. The medical industry takeover will be a major intrusion of our freedom. We have a right to see a doctor, a right to NOT see a doctor if we don’t want to, a right to have health insurance and a right to NOT have health insurance if we don’t want to. What the hell is this crap with Obama forcing people to have or buy health insurance? Who the hell is this schmuck ordering you that you must have health insurance? Who does he think he is, Mitt Romney? No one on these talk shows, such as Limbaugh, is bringing up the idea of voluntary association, and the right of establishing voluntary contracts, and the RIGHT to be FREE of government bureaucrats and politicians ordering you to do this, that and the other thing! It’s annoying, and frightening.
The neo-cons talk a good game when they bring up “small government” and “low taxes,” and “free market capitalism,” but are Big Statists and Big Government advocates when it comes to their love for the Military Industrial Complex, as they fantasize that such a monstrosity is actually protecting the country from terrorism. “We need the Big Government taxation apparatus to steal more from the citizens so we can feed the war machine, and believe the lies of our leaders.” That’s all the neo-cons ever say these days. This terrorism thing was greatly escalated by President #41, George Herbert Hoover Bush, who took our country into Iraq to protect the oil industry from harm. Now there’s a real “capitalist”(nyuk nyuk nyuk). “Read my lips. No New Taxes! (What I mean is, I won’t impose any new taxes, but I’ll raise existing taxes! Heh, heh, heh.)” Obama continues this tradition of stealing more and more from our grandchildren to fund permanent wars and more fascist government takeovers of industries, with increasing wealth redistribution, higher taxes and debts.
