My comment on this post by Drew Johnson on the Radley Balko blog didn’t get approved, probably because I included several links, which is understandable. However, given Johnson’s irrational, emotion-driven tirade against anti-vaccination people and specifically this Jenny McCarthy character whom I had never heard of until now, I wouldn’t be surprised if the fact- and science-based content of the articles to which I linked were the real reasons for rejecting my comment. (UPDATE: However, as can be seen in the comments below, my comment was now approved by Patrick. I apologize for my false assumptions.)
Here are some of the linked articles:

And here are some other articles that deal with the Andrew Wakefield controversy:

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Hi, another of Radley’s guestbloggers here. Your comment was indeed sitting in moderation due to the number of links it contained. I just approved it. I’m quite sure Drew hasn’t read it at all.
So, in the interest of facts, science, and rationality, I’m quite sure you’ll withdraw the suggestion that Mr. Johnson rejected your comment because it contained such powerful links, just as you’ll approve this comment.
Thanks for the update and approval, Patrick. I was assuming that, given it had been a good 24 hours gone by, that the comment was not approved. Sorry for my assuming. (As Felix Unger would say, “Never assume …”)
I’m still on the fence about this subject. I’ve been looking through anti-vaccine articles and pages online. What do you guys think of this group?
