On his Saturday radio show, Glenn Beck was discussing former Treasury Sec. Pat Paulson, I mean, Henry Paulson’s possible conflicts of interest, from his connections with the Federal government and having been a CEO of Goldman Sachs, and the more recent controversies of “waivers,” getting big tax breaks, and, of course, Goldman Sachs’s most profitable period ever this year (thanks to the big Wall Street bailout that Paulson pushed into law). Mr. Beck was noting a possible “pattern” of events but was trying not to sound too “black helicopterish.” Well, I don’t see any particular “conspiracy,” but I can confidently say that these people in question are definitely dishonest and corrupt, especially with all these Big Business-Big Government connections. And we can say for sure that President Obama is Big Time Corrupt when he openly appoints a known Tax Cheat Tim Geithner (What grade is he in, now?) as Paulson’s replacement. (And the same goofballs in the Senate who confirmed Geithner

will confirm to the Supreme Court someone who has proudly stated that she believes in judicial activism and legislativism and opposes equal treatment under the law based on race, gender and ethnicity.)

It’s really upsetting sometimes, because, for example, there are people such as small property owners who can’t sell a property because they can’t afford the capital gains tax, such as seniors who have owned a property for many years and are on a fixed income–something that Mr. Geithner will probably never have to deal with. And then there’s

Paulson with his hundreds of millions, who gets millions more via his government ties (allegedly) and his connections to Goldman Sachs. These people can buy and sell millions of dollars worth of properties and not worry about the capital gains tax, while that tax shouldn’t even apply to small property owners.

This is what we get when we elect socialists like George W. Bush and fascists like Barack Obama to the White House.
